JACE 8000 to JACE 9000: a practical upgrade path if Niagara 5 is on your roadmap

If Niagara 5 is on your roadmap, it’s worth checking your controller estate now. JACE 8000 (and JACE 834) hardware won’t support Niagara 5, which means any Niagara 5 upgrade plan needs a move to JACE 9000.

Forest Rock’s JACE 8000 → JACE 9000 licence transfer promotion has been extended until 31 October 2026. For eligible customers, it allows you to transfer your existing licence to a new JACE 9000 (with SMA, new unlicensed hardware + SD card, and the applicable Tridium transfer fee), instead of purchasing a full new Niagara licence.

If you want us to confirm eligibility, send over your controller models + quantities and any site constraints (downtime windows, access).
